It’s always hard to know whether you and your partner are clicking as a couple. Of course, this is not a question of the length of time you two spent dating. Some couples don’t reach that moment where they just click even if they’ve been together for years. Some couples don’t even reach this point.

Either way, there are signs that you are clicking as a couple. They are small things, really. Small little details that you both share, and might not even find to be significant, that make you just the best couple your friends have seen in a while now.

Do you want to know what are they? Okay. Here we go.

You have farted at least once in his/her presence

Either by accident or by design, being able to fart in your partner’s presence shows that you two are now comfortable with each other. You’ve gone past the stage where there’s so much to hide from your partner. You worry that a single mistake will turn him/her off. That’s why you’ve been holding of that gas release for a while  now. But once you enter the phase where both of you are now clicking as a couple, farting (at enough levels and frequency) in front of your partner isn’t awkward at all.

You area able to have telepathic conversations

You both know ‘The Look’. When you stare at each others eyes, and just somehow understand what each other means and would want to say. This is developed over the course of your relationship as you both discover the small things your partner do. Like when her eyes are almost popping and nostrils flaring? Yeah, that was the time that she made you cry because she punched you in the nose for calling her favorite series lame.

You have met your partner parents

Meeting your partner’s parents means that he/she is already trusting you enough to go under the meticulous eyes of his/her parents. You know that when your mom and dad asks your partner about serious stuff, he/she can answer it properly and honestly. This is where he/she earns  your trust and proves to you that he is someone that could actually be in it for the long haul.

You begin to involve yourself in your partner’s quirks, voluntarily

Does your partner love Weird Al? Or maybe likes to go out for early morning jogs? If you happen to go to a Weird Al concert, or maybe run early in the morning out of your own impulse, then  you and your partner are clicking as a couple. Because when you involve yourself in your partner’s quirks without any question, it shows that you truly have loved him/her. It’s not just because you’re trying to sleep with him/her. No. You’re already over that stage. You now realize that his/her quirks are something that you like and love about your partner.

You slowly begin to look alike

You know when  you are clicking when you slowly begin to look alike. Most of your friends notice this. For some unknown reason, because of the time you spent with your partner, you become more and more alike. People can now associate you as a couple. They see you as one. That’s why when your friends look at you, they don’t see your old face. They see your relationship and how the two of yoo are so in love.

And talk alike

This goes true as well. By practice, you begin to acquire some of the words your partner is using. Unknowingly, you begin to use them too. Sometimes even the way he/she speaks is mirrored in your voice. And that’s just how it is.

You now have inside jokes

Of course, with all the stories and experience you both shared, you begin to form inside jokes. Like when you see the statue in the middle of the city park, you both giggle because you two have done something stupid and funny there. You also begin to share jokes about your friends, your co-workers and yourself. To others, these jokes might become a source of confusion and annoyance but for you two, it’s just hilarious.

And code words

When your partner hears you say bamboozle, which is one of your secret words, you know that you both have to head out early. These code words become your secret means of communication (as if telepathic conversations are not enough). You may have your codes for sex, for when you are about to fight, and all those basic stuff.

Now, does you relationship have these signs?
