You won’t regret this, we promise.
We value the hard work you give just to earn money, so we don’t want you spending them on temporarily beneficial things. It’s tempting to purchase that new product you just saw on TV, or the shoes that famous celebrity is wearing, or that cute tissue holder displayed in the store. Yes, we know. But before you grab your wallet, pause for a moment and ask, do you really need another item like that?
We live in a world where people think that the wealth of a man depends on the richness of his bank account. Most of us fail to see that it is actually the richness of a man’s life that makes him wealthy.
So if you want to start living a richer and more meaningful life, maybe you should start spending your wealth on these 3 essentials instead.
1. Memories and experiences
In today’s way of living, items are things we buy thinking we will be replacing it soon for something better. Sentimental value might even be a thing in the past now. Material things such as phones, TVs, and cars get replaced by a newer model before you can even personalize it. So may we suggest that you take on another mindset? What about choosing to shed money on things where you’ll gain memories and experiences? Try travelling for example. Not only will you gain memories from a distant place filled with potential friends, you’ll also acquire new experiences you might never get from sitting in front of that freshly bought laptop.
2. Learning new skills
Skills are learned abilities that can be very helpful in attaining one’s goals. Think of something that you’ve always wanted to do. Have you always secretly wanted to be a ballerina, a painter, a writer, or a pianist? If so, why not enroll in a class that will hone your skills in that area. We assure you that it’s better to invest your money in enhancing your skills rather than in other material things that will only consume you.
3. Health benefits
Our health should always be our main priorities. Making sure that we get enough rest, enough nutrients, and enough exercise are just one of the few ways to ensure our health. But when we want to get enough rest, we have to invest on a comfortable bed. When we want to get enough nutrients, we have to spend on good food. And when we want to get proper exercise, we have to shell out some bucks for quality clothing, shoes and gear. What I’m trying to say is that, health and comfort costs money, and we should never hesitate on paying for it.
