The year is about to end and 2015 has given us so much that we simply felt it’s a must to look back on some of the important things that made us laugh, emotional and unite.
Take a look at the few things that has made this year interesting, fun, and distinct from the others.
1. Raise the Rainbow Flag
It was the year of love. The year when love won! Remember that hashtag that trended in Twitter with the rainbow heart emoji? I know right. So adorable. #LoveWins
2. Couple in the Train Went Viral
Do you remember them? They’re quite the talk before. Everybody was like totally jealous of the blonde guy because of his boyfriend. Some didn’t like their relationship merely due to the fact that they’re both boys. But hello? It’s 2015. Love already won. And that’s why the gay couple decided to tie the knot and proclaim their love.
Keep the love burning, you two! Don’t mind the naysayers.
3. The Dress That Drove Social Media Crazy
Who could forget this dress? It became so controversial because we had different opinions about its color. Were you team blue and black or team white and gold? Haha, oh those were the fun days.
4. Up-close and Personal with Pluto
NASA has released some up-close shots of Pluto and it had the people of Earth excited. Well, we concluded that Pluto was excited and very welcoming too, specially with that big heart on its face. 😉
5. Attack on Paris
The year 2015 is not all about happiness and fun, it tested our strength as well. Terrorism got more intense and its been rough with the countries that’ve been directly affected. Still, all hope’s not lost. Many took a stand and a lot of unexpected kindness from unexpected people happened on the most unexpected situations. It has reminded that we are all brothers and sisters, no matter where we’re from, what language we speak, and what our skin color is.
6. The Force Awakened
The world was in shock when it was announced that Star Wars is about to be on the big screen again. Many fans have brought their lightsabers out of the box again and are ready, pumped and totally eager to watch the movie. So when you try and spoil it to them, this is what you get.
You’ll get beaten up by the fans. Well, may this serve as a warning to those who are planning to mess with the force. Do not try it at the theaters… or anywhere with other people. Just to be safe.
7. Bottled Air, Please?
It’s all ove the internet. China is buying bottles of fresh air for its people. It appears that the air pollution there is no longer tolerable and people are desperate for a breath of fresh air. Literally. So desperate that they started importing bottled air from Canada.
Vitality Air bottles that Rocky Mountain fresh air without contamination and sells it to people who wants it. They sell the three liters of air for $13.63 USD – a relatively high price for something that’s supposed to be free.
8. Most Awkward Ms. Universe Coronation Ever
If 2015 could talk, it might say “You thought I’m going down without a bang?”
There’s only 10 days left of 2015 and something happens that will always make us remember this year and say, “Remember that year when the most awkward Ms. Universe Coronation happened? And on international tv?!”
We feel bad for Ms. Colombia for being called winner by mistake. It was a really embarassing and awkward position to be in. Hopefully this kind of mistake do not happen again in the future. Let’s all leave it to 2015. Anyway, congratulations to Ms. Philippines. She made her country proud.
